Pan Dulce is a forgiving right-hand point in warm water, five minutes from the lodge. Mick matches the instruction and the conditions to your level. Like everything else, it is invitational.

No. The week is alcohol-free and free of recreational drugs for everyone, whether or not you join the ceremonies. Guest guidelines cover the days before you travel.

Three meals a day from the lodge kitchen — most of it grown on the farm or landed nearby — plus one late feast. Some mornings are fasted by design; you are told the night before. Dietary needs and allergies go into your intake form after the deposit so the kitchen can plan for you individually.

The properties have Starlink, although connectivity can vary. Ceremony spaces are phone-free and we ask for phones away at the table and the fire. Your preparation pack gives your family the founders' number for anything urgent.

A full guide arrives after your deposit. The short version: November is warm and humid with rain most afternoons, so light natural fabrics, a rain layer, trail shoes that can get wet, reef-safe sunscreen, repellent, a headlamp and a refillable bottle. Yoga mats, towels and a ceremony clothing set are provided.

Spa treatments run from Day 2, booked in advance: $100 USD per ninety-minute treatment on top of your tier price, about twenty slots across the week. They are the one on-property extra.

A private men’s wellness retreat in Costa Rica: six nights, movement, the ocean and a small group. Ceremonies are optional. Share as much detail as you are comfortable sharing, and ask the founders about any practical information your family needs.

If the physicians decline you for the whole week, everything you have paid is refunded, regardless of payment stage. If they decline you for the ceremonies only, you may still come; the medicine opt-out credit applies, with the amount confirmed privately by the hosts.

Your $500 puts your name forward for one of twenty places. Hector and Marcus confirm selection; the deposit counts toward your retreat total. If you are not selected, it comes back in full. The deposit comes off your first stage payment. If you cannot attend before your first stage payment, the $500 returns in full.

Both options begin with a $500 deposit, which counts toward your retreat total. Direct payments receive the 15% founding discount: reach 25% within seven days of your deposit, 75% by October 15, and 100% by October 30. Before your first stage payment, the deposit returns in full. After a stage is paid it is not refunded as cash — the land and the team are reserved on a fixed schedule — but it becomes a credit toward a later circle, subject to availability and any price difference. A physician decline for the whole week is refunded whatever the stage. If the hosts cancel, all payments are refunded within 14 days. If they postpone, you may choose a full refund or transfer. For postponement caused by events beyond their reasonable control, a refund may deduct itemised, unrecoverable third-party costs; you may choose a transfer instead.

Everything on property is included — every meal, class, ceremony, transfer and the boat day. Spa treatments are the one on-property extra, booked in advance. Off property, three things are your own: your flights both ways, travel insurance, and the optional pre-retreat screening.

Before you leave the land, the team reviews your Day-6 assessment and personal practice with you and books your two follow-up sessions. For your first four weeks home you can take a weekly check-in with one of the trip leaders. All of it is included; none of it is compulsory. And the circle stays a circle.
